TUSB8041: How to combine the OVERCURxz and PWRCTLx pins

Hi support team.

I have a questions related to the behavior of the OVERCURxz and PWRCTLx pins of the TUSB8041 Hub.

1. Where I can find detailed description of the OVERCURxz and PWRCTLx pins behavior with timings?

2. I'm working on the project where OVERCURxz and PWRCTLx pins should be combined.

Is there a way to implement an architecture similar to the one shown in the picture below using TUSB8041 Hub?

Hi Oleksiy:

you need to connect PWRCTL pin to Vbus switch OE pin , connect OVERCURR# to vbus switch OCS pin,

When OCS goes low, hub will force PWRCTL goes low and turn off vbus switch until overcurrent event stops.

Probably you didn't understand my question correctly.

I have a product where PWRCTL pin and OVERCURR# pin are joined together. It is only a one wire with pull-up resistor.

It is implemented this way on the USB5744 Hub from Microchip.

Is it possible to join PWRCTL pin and OVERCURR# pin on the tusb8041 in the same way how it is done on the USB5744?

for TUSB8041, PWRCTL pin and OVERCURR# pin should be separate.
