TS3USBCA4: Pin 14 Flip Pin Pull Down when in I2C mode

Part Number: TS3USBCA4

Tool/software:

Hi teams,

Please help review the schematic and let me know if there is any concern to pull down or floating the Pin 14 when TS3USBCA410 is under I2C mode. Also need your help to point out if there is other concern need to fix in the schematic.

Thanks!

  • Hi Gary,

I would say it's likely better to have the FLIP pin pulled down to ground. The device may be probing that pin at start-up and using that setting as the default, so its better to have pulled high or low, according to if there is any default configuration you want. There should be no worry with just having it pulled-down though, even if you are using I2C.

For other comments, we recommend having capacitors of .1uF and 1uF placed close to the VCC pin to help decouple the supply.

Otherwise, I don't think I have any other inputs. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
