Looking to get some clarification of the general layout of the internal layout of DS91M040. Many parts by TI have simplified circuits indicating the relation of the input and output relative to Vcc and Gnd. Is there one for this part?

Hello,

Yes some datasheets provide more details diagrams. However, while this device datasheet does not provide the diagram, please refer to the pin map section to understand the device internals. For example, there is a 300 ohm pull up on the RE (not) pin.
