Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB320, TUSB422
Tool/software:
Hi, Team
My customer use TUSB320 in one of the audio speaker application.
When the TUSB320 is configured in DPF mode, my understanding is that the power role is Source, while the USB data communication role is Device. However, my customer's requirement is for the TUSB320 to act as a Source to provide external charging, while simultaneously functioning as a USB "Device" role. For example, my customer's product uses the TUSB320 to charge a mobile phone while also operating in Device mode, allowing the phone to act as the USB Host and communicate with the customer's product to play music.
I understand that the Type-C standard includes a DR_Swap command. Is this command used to achieve the described functionality? If so, does our device TUSB320 support DR_Swap configuration via I2C?
If there are any misunderstandings on my part, please correct them and provide your recommendations.
Thanks.
