SN65DPHY440SS: How to analyze IC failure

To TI engineers

We used SN65DPHY440SS in our design for DPHY transition.

But several boards were breakdown in the evaluation,

after checking these broken boards, we found SN65DPHY440SS was failure.

Our circuit is as same as TI's datasheet, we don't know where the mistake is.

Maybe static electricity problem, but we have no evidence about it.

So, for a countermeasure of the failure, we hope TI's failure analysis and want to know which part in the internal IC is broken.

We have no idea about how to contact TI to support us so leave the message there to get some information.

I will have a check.

The broken ICs are not directly bought from TI.

The board maker procured every part on the board.

I will try the product return process,

But I don't know whether TI can admit the above situation or not.

Please start the customer return process. Without looking at these units, I won't able to tell if these units are truly broken or not.

I tried the customer return process, but TI only admits the board maker, which directly purchased the ICs, to start the customer return process.

I will contact the board maker for IC analysis.
