DS560MB410: Could the DS560MB410 support higher wide-band amplitude gain? And could you provide the EEPROM map?

Part Number: DS560MB410

Tool/software:

Hi As datasheet mentioned the Gdc is max 0.8dB. But in my special application we need a wide-band amplitude gain higher, 3dB will be desirable. Could I get a higher Gdc with some mothod?

And in the program guide I can't find the EEPROM map for DS560MB410. Could you give a documentation?

  • Hi Zhuang,

There are a couple other registers I can check on to see how they impact DC gain, but I suspect that the gain will still be well under 3 dB.

Are you able to share more details about your input signal?  If 3 dB of gain is applied, do you know if the output will still be within the linear range of DS560MB410?

Unfortunately, I don't have a table with EEPROM map for DS560MB410.  I'd recommend referencing the EEPROM application note linked below.  This covers the EEPROM structure for TI's 25G/28G SigCon devices.  The structure is the same for DS560MB410.  The EEPROM is just populated in order with registers from the register map with EEPROM=Y.

To generate an EEPROM image, I'd recommend changing the registers in SigCon Architect (you can use demo mode) and then generating the EEPROM file using SigCon Architect.

    Thanks,

    Drew
