We want to do the register configuration. How should the register be configured with 1 inch FR-4,10 mil, the mipi rate is 1.4Gbps and at 72MHz? Is there a reference register configuration under 720 MHz?

You can configure the DPHY440 through pin strap mode. You don't have to use register configuration to configure the DPHY440. 

The 1in trace is around 0.15dB loss at 700MHz, so I would set TX Pre-emphasis to 0dB for now.
