  • Hi Hirano,

    Q1:
At DP83TD510E-EVM, which should be selected at the Extended Register drop-down menu, Yes or No? And PHY ID should be 00?

If you are trying to read a register that is a part of the default register set, i.e, registers 0x00-0x1F, then you would need to select "No". For any other registers after 0x1F, it would need to be "Yes". The PHY ID should be the PHY ID of the device whose registers you are trying to access. For the 510EVM, there are 2 such devices, the 510 itself, with PHY ID = 00, and the DP83822, with PHY ID = 05.

At USB-2-MDIO Software Tool, when reading TDR_CFG1 Register(Address=x300), the following settings are correct?
    PHY ID: 00
    Extended Address: No
    Register Address: 0300

No, since 0x300 is an extended register, extended address must be selected as "Yes"

    Q3:
At USB-2-MDIO Software Tool, when reading dsp_reg_72 Register(Address=x872), the following settings are correct?
    PHY ID: 00
    Extended Address: Tes
    Register Address: 0872

    Yes, this would be correct.
