Part Number: DSLVDS1047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90LV031A, SN65LVDS047, DS90LV047A, SN65LVDS3487, SN65LVDS31

Tool/software:

Hello guys,

One of my customers is looking for LVDS 4ch driver for their new products.

At this moment, they have the following question.
Could you please give me your reply?

Q.
They chose the following devices and generated comparison tabled on TI web.
DSLVDS1047, DS90LV031A, DS90LV047A, SN65LVDS31, SN65LVDS3487, SN65LVDS047.
https://www.ti.com/compare-products/ja-jp/?id=546&type=GPT&partList=DS90LV031A,DS90LV047A,DSLVDS1047,SN65LVDS31,SN65LVDS3487,SN65LVDS047&columnList=404,1389,993,994,0,976,995,1130,996,2954,2955,261011,1811,1498,1192,-4

But they couldn't find any major difference point on this table.
Do you have any document which explains different point between these devices?
Also which device do you recommend? Or do you have any new recommended device for LVDS driver and transceiver?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Kazuya.

  • DS90 devices were acquired from Nation Semiconductor; SN65 devices have always been made by TI. The DSLVDS1047 was created as a clone of the DS90LV047A.

Compared to the '31, the '3487 has separate enable inputs for two driver pairs. The '47 have an improved pinout, so you probably want to use those.

Use the cheapest, or whichever one is available.

  • Hi Kazuya,

In addition to what Clemens said, these devices are all very similar and will be the same in most regards. The things to note are:

    1. SN65LVDS3487 has a different pinout than the others

    2. SN65LVDS3487 has multiple enables for drivers 1,2 and 3,4.

    3. The EN and EN_n inputs for '31 devices are ORed while the '47 devices are ANDed

    Regards,

    Jack
