Hello TI Experts,

To be honest I am not clear about the HDCP feature, I have several questions here :

1. If the system need support HDCP feature , do we need purchase some licence or we only need to purchase the Serilizer - Derserilizer which support HDCP feature?

2. How to enable HDCP features for serilizer and deserilizer ?

3. Do we need to develop the encryption algorithm or just need enable HDCP feature , nothing to do else ?

4. If we only develop display module side ( Deserilize including in display module side ) , do we need purchase licence?

Hello,

1. From the TI side, we only sell HDCP devices to end customers which have an active HDCP license. 2. The datasheet HDCP section describes how HDCP should be enabled. And it requires both Ser and Des devices to be HDCP capable and authenticated.

3. The encryption is done by the FPD-Link device, so it only has to be enabled and authenticated

4. If possible, could you contact your local TI FAE for this information? The field and marketing teams will have more information about the licensing requirements.
