AM26C31: Similarities to AM26LV31 device?

Hello,

I am trying to understand if there are any similarities between the AM26C and AM26LV RS-422 driver / receiver devices. I am specifically trying to understand if the die structure of the two devices are the same. I have single event effects data on the AM26LV devices and want to know if I could expect similar outcomes on the AM26C devices. Obviously, I understand the response may vary, just hoping I can guide any future testing.

I would expect them to be similar, but not necessarily identical.

Your measurements will change after a PCN for the design.

Hi Cole,

Unfortunately I can't explicitly say if the two dies are the same. And as Clemens pointed out, if any kind of design change occurs to one and not the other in the future it may affect your system.

That being said, I suspect you will get similar outcomes. These devices have gone through a redesign though, so you may end up testing old legacy dies and new design dies messed in if you aren't paying attention.
