Tool/software:

Hello TI Team，

The register 0x0012 bit7 sets into "1",

Master and Slave link normally.

The pin " INT_N" keeps low after power on.

Read back register:

0x0012: 0x80ff

0x0871: 0x00ee --> SQI: 7 (best)

0x1001: 0x0004 -->link status is up

Why does the 0x0012 record the "Link qual is Not Good when link is ON." , but the SQI is 7(best) at this moment.

The register 0012 interrupt on bit 15 is not correct. We are fixing this issue in an upcoming datasheet revision. Apologies for the confusion.

Hi Jingkun,

My understanding is that 0x0012 bit 15's functionality was deprecated.

Please use SQI and link status registers as a measure of link quality instead.

Now we set the 0x0012 bit7 to enable.

It keeps triggering INT, causing the INT signal to be low.

Does it mean that 0x0012 bit 7's functionality also was deprecated?

Please let me know when the datasheet is updated.

Hi Wang Jingkun,

Yes, you can reference the DP83TC812 datasheet as it was updated to reflect the change. See how 0x0012 bit 7 and bit 15 are marked as RESERVED.

Sorry, I will not let you know when it is updated, however I can tell you that it will be updated in this quarter.
