THVD4421: UART to 232 fail

Tool/software:

Hi,

232 to UART works well but UART to 232 shows no reponse.

Customer is using THVD4421EVM and connection is as below.

When PC send data through 232 to 4421 and 4421 transfer it to UART and communication works well.

When host send data through UART but there is no response on R1/R3 port.

Could you guide what setting is needed more on EVM?

    Hi David,

    Can you provide an image of how your EVM is setup? That way I can visually verify if everything is in place. 

    Can you measure the UART outputs from the host by probing L3? I want to confirm that the host is outputting as expected.

    Also, I noticed in the your table that L1 and L3 are backwards. L1 is the UART RX and L3 is the UART TX.
