Hello,

I 've analysed TCAN1463 and TCAN1473 datasheets and found no differences in TRCV behavior. Could you clarify the main diff between the devices?

    Hi Miguel,

    Here is a comparison slide:

    If you are using TCAN1473A, it's basically the same device as TCAN1463, with just a few characteristics updated to meet the CAN SIC specification of ISO11898:2 2024. If you are fine with meeting the CiA 601-4 only (It's also a CAN SIC standard but posted earlier than the ISO11898:2 2024), then TCAN1463 can still be used, there is no functional difference.

    TCAN1473 is like a CAN SIC version of TCAN1043, which has slight difference with TCAN1463/TCAN1473A/TCAN1043A. Thus if you are migrating from TCAN1463/TCAN1043A, TCAN1473A will be the drop in replacement without any software or hardware change.
