SN74LV4052A: Is SN74LV4052A suitable for switching multi-channels of thermocouples before linked to ADS1118?

Hi tech support,

      We are designing a multi-channel thermocouple data collector that is used in plastic manufacturing industrial machine. We plan to use 2*SN74LV4502A and 1*ADS1118 to measure 8  thermocouples(K type), each SN74LV4502A switching between 4 channels and ADS1118 handle 2 channels when both of the SN74LV4502 finish switch the channel. Is this design reasonable or is there any better design that we can find from TI solution?

    Hello Brian,

    Configuration wise the 4052A will work, but I need more details on your application to confirm.

    What are the voltage levels of the supply and signals you want to pass through the mux? What is the frequency of the signals?

    Any other critical parameters in your application?
