TCAN1043H-Q1: When the CANH or CANL short to the 48V battery Voltage, How to design with TCAN1043H-Q1?

Part Number: TCAN1043H-Q1

Hi Team,

Posting on behalf of our customer.

If CANH or CANL is short-circuited to the 48V (Maxmum 60V)power supply, although the chip can withstand a voltage of 70V without being damaged. However, designing the components of the chip's peripheral circuits is a significant challenge.

So, how to determine the power withstand voltage value of the TVS and the power of the terminal resistor? If a short circuit does occur.

Another question is, if there is a prolonged short circuit with 60V, will it damage the chips and peripheral circuit components? What are some good ways to avoid it?

Regards,

Danilo
