Could you please confirm whether the AM26C31MDREP has inbuilt short-circuit protection on its outputs?

    Hi Maria,

    The device itself is built around the RS422 standard which states the differential outputs need to clamp before +/-250mA during a short. This device is spec'd to clamp earlier at 170mA (see IOS spec).
