About ON/OFF control of DS34LV86T & DS34LV87T.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS34LV86T, DS34LV87T

Please let me know three below about ON/OFF control of DS34LV86T & DS34LV87T.

1) May I connect a transceiver and a receiver both, turning OFF a power supply?
2) May I connect the transceiver of the power supply ON, with a receiver's (DS34LV86T) power supply turned off?
3) When it turns off the power supply of a transceiver and a receiver, which should be turned off first?

I think that the purpose wants to turn OFF a power supply and to suppress consumption current.

Thank you for your consideration.

  • Satoshi-San,

1). Yes. You could have power supply off.

2). Transmitter power supply could be on while the receiver is powered off. DS34LV86T receiver has high input impedance and this will not cause the device to power up.

3). There is no power sequencing requirement. But it could be a good practice to turn the power to the receiver first so when the transmitter is turned on there will be 100 Ohm load or termination.
