Hello
I would like to use sn65hvd257 powered by 5v , but my MCU is powered by 3.3v ; I could not understand that from the datasheet , what is minimum volt for logic high and low for the TXD ?
Thanks

Hi Hector,
If you look at page 9 of the datasheet there is a specification called VIH. It says the minimum voltage for a high at TXD is 2.0 volts. This device will work with a 3.3 volt MCU.
Thanks,
John
In addition to the TXD pin section (6.x, page 9 of the datasheet) there is also a section on using the device with 3.3V MCUs in the EVM users guide, section 3.5, page 11. http://www.ti.com/tool/sn65hvd257evm
