Hello,
I found that TI has two similar product SN888C and SN65HVD888.
I was not able to find differences between this two products.
Could someone explain what is the deference between these two products?

Hello,

Hello Oleksiy,
The only difference between these two devices is the labeling that is laser etched on top of the IC. They contain the exact same silicon. The SN888C has labeling for specifically for the Chinese market (C is for China), and the SN65HVD888 device has normal TI logo and labeling.
Thanks,
John
Hi John,
I'm afraid that I'm not understand your input. As in the case of the labelling difference it seems strange that ICs have different TI's site price.
I one more time analysed datasheets and found that SN888C has higher value for ESD JEDEC Standard 22 Test Method A115 (Machine Model).
Are there another parameters or functionality which is differ?
Hi Oleksiy,
I assure you they are the exact same device. I just checked the assembly system for information on both devices.
I just reached out to the people that characterized the device and asked for a reason for the differences in electrical parameters for the JEDEC Test Method A114 and Test Method A115.
I will let you know when I hear back.
Thanks,
John
Hi Oleksiy,
I apologize but I never heard anything back from the engineer I sent the request to. Thank you for following up, I just sent a 2nd request now.
At first look I believe it is just a documenting error, but I need to find out which number is correct and get the datasheets corrected so they match. Thank you for your patience.
John
Hi Oleksiy,
I just heard back from the engineer that characterized the device and they verified that both parts should be rated for the ±8KV HBM all pins and ±200V Machine Model all pins.
Therefore, both devices should have the higher levels that are listed in the SN888C device.
Thank you for your patience and brining the inconsistency up to our team.
John
Hi John,
Thanks for your feedback. But finaly what is the difference between these two partnumbers?
Hi Oleksiy,
We released the same exact part with two different part numbers. One for the Chinese market (SN888C - C is for China), and another for the world-wide market (SN65HVD888). That is the only difference.
Thanks,
John
