Voltage Translator Bandwidth and Data Rate Problem

Hi All,

I simply need to know how to calculate the Bandwidth of the following product: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/sn74avcb164245-ep.pdf

What I need is not just an answer. I need to learn the method. There is no info about, rise time, bandwidth etc. How to get BW?

I apologize as I reopen a discussion which is already opened in the voltage translator section but I could not get a sufficent answer. (http://e2e.ti.com/support/interface/etc_interface/f/391/t/329072.aspx)

Thank you.

  • Hi Soner,

This part is not supported by the High Speed interface applications team so I am looping Wei Lang back into this question as he supported you on the original request. He is cc'ed and should respond in a reasonable amount of time.

  • Hi,

In fact, my question is not about a spesific product. I am trying to find out the method to calculate BW which is highly related to high speed issues.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Soner,

I am unaware of a method for calculating the bandwidth of any given part. The bandwidth of an IC is typically specified by the systems engineer driving the part and the end application that the part is intended for. This information should have been provided in the data sheet for the part in question and I am unsure as to why it is not. The team that supports this part would have greater insight into this than me though.
