DS90LV110T - propagation delay & transition time versus temperature

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90LV110T, DS90LV027AH

As stated in the tile I'm looking for some data regarding the DS90LV110T 1:10 LVDS distributor:

1. differential propagation delay versus ambient temperature,

2. transition times versus amb. temperature

3. differential skew versus amb. temp.

I'm looking for data similar to pg 6&7 in http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ds90lv027ah.pdf

Can smbdy provide such data?

  • 1> Propagation delay vs. voltage and temperature

    Worst Case (3.0V 85C):  3.2ns

    Best Case (3.6 -40C):   2.8ns

2> I do not have edge rate data across temperature, the datasheet worst case will be 3.0V and 85C.  Device maximum is 550ps.

3> Skew vs. voltage and temperature

    Worst Case Condition (3.0V -40C):  150ps

Note: All non datasheet numbers are typical measurements and not device limits.

  • Hi Lee,

    thank you for replying.

I partially got what i needed - temperatures for which measurements were taken (best & worst cases).

EDIT: Do You have data for "output part-to-part pulse skew" over temperature - best/worst case as You provided previously?

  • Hi Ivan,

Lee is out of the office this week, so I apologize for the delay in response. I have looked through our characterization archive for this part and have found the following:

The worst case pulse skew (TSKEW) according to the datasheet is 340 ps, and this value was determined under a worst case condition of 3.0V and -40C.

    Thanks,

    Michael

  • Ivan,

The worst case pulse skew accounting for part to part variation will be somewhat less than the min-max Tpd specification in the datasheet.  The Tpd spec in the datasheet includes a voltage and temperature variation as well.  If a part to part Tpd skew were put together for any 2 devices operating at the same voltage and temperature, the overall min-max delta would be lower.

Based on characterization data  and the datasheet specification for Tpd, I can estimate a speciification for device to device pulse skew when operating at the same voltage and temperature would be 1.0ns.

    Regards,

    Lee
