TSB82AA2 1394 OHCI driver problem

Hello everyone, I need serious help about my TI card. Couldn't manage to install driver properly and because of this, Pc(win8) can't see my firewire audio interface I guess. I searched a bit and found this post in here:

Hello Mike,

I am not very clear on the question, win 8 does support IEEE 1394, are you getting a yellow bang?

what TI device are you using?

We have seen a yellow bang on some devices in win8 coming from a OS resource allocation problem with the PCIe-To-PCI bridge.

If you are getting a yellow bang please see the attached document.

Regards.

I see yellow exclamation point on my "Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller" driver, device manager gives code 10 error. I already:

-Changed PCI slots

-Reinstalled drivers

-Installed Legacy Driver

-Installed Win 8 again (in case of some viruses or something like that)

I was going to apply those steps in the word file but I don't have any exclamation point on PCI to PCI bridge. Should I try it? I don't want to ruin my Pc or FW card. Or any other solutions for this?

  • "Code 10" can mean practically anything, but it's not a resource problem.

To find out whether the problem is with the card or your mainboard or your software, try the card in another PC and/or with another OS like Linux.
