ISO7220M / supply current per channel

Hello,

Could you please let me know the supply current/ch at 1MSPS and 25MSPS of ISO7220M?
Are the Figure1&2 in the datasheet all channel supply current?

  • Hi Asaka-san,

    The parametric tables and figures 1 & 2 provide supply current for all (both) channels. So to get supply current per channel, you simply divide the TYP or MAX ICC by 2.

    Please note that even if one of the channels is not driven, there will still be Quiescent current consumption through that channel.

    Thank you for the reply.
    I'm promoting the ISO7220M and ISO7240M for replacement from  HCPL9030/930, HCPL 900J/090J of AVAGO.
    I think that the ISO72x0M supply current is larger than Avago device...
    Are there any special reason of this difference of supply current?
    Could you please let me know the superiority of ISO72x0M against HCPL devices for promoting to my customer?

    ISO72xx family is our older generation of digital isolators. This family has higher supply currents. I suggest that you consider to promote the following devices to your customer:
    - ISO7320CD and ISO7340CDW (data rate up to 25 Mbps)
    - ISO7820DW and ISO7840DW (data rate up to 100 Mbps) - Planned to be released in 3Q15
