My customer asked us about absolute maximum rating(IOH) in the receiver circuit of SN751178.
In the Receiver circuit,
The maximum value of the recommended current of High-level output current (IOH) is described as -400 μA.
Is there an absolute maximum rating (current)?
Please let me know about this question.

As shown on page 4, the receiver output is an LS (low-power Schottky) output.
As shown in figure 15 of Input and Output Characteristics of Digital Integrated Circuits at 5-V Supply Voltage (SZZA008), an LS output in the high state cannot be loaded very much until the voltage drop becomes too large:
This is mostly caused by the 85 Ω resistor.
In other words, there is no absolute maximum rating for IOH because it is not possible to draw too much current, not even if you short-circuit the output to ground.
