SN75LVCP600SEVM: tx/rx schematic

Part Number: SN75LVCP600SEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75LVCP600S

Hi Team

My customer is using SN75LVCP600S, and it seems strange to me that the TX/RX schematic in EVM.

The Host RX is connected to LVCP600S RX, and TX is connected to receiver RX, I thought it should be opposite, right?

  • Hi Randy,

I think there is some confusion with the naming of the signals, you can think of the EVM as an adaptor close to the device, then Rx/Tx on both eSATA connectors are Rx/Tx from the storage device.

Since J1 connects to the HOST, Rx(is an input port) and Rx(J2) is an output port.

I hope this diagram from the specification clarifies it, the EVM would replace the cable.

    Regards
