TUSB542: position of AC coupling cap

I have a question about the point of AC coupling capacitor between TSUB542 and USB connector.

I found that capacitor(C1~C6) on the TUSB542EVM. There are mounted on the middle of TSUB542 and the connector.

Where should we put the capacitor? Is that the middle position or connector side, or close of the device?

Hello Hamamoto-san,

The best placement is close to the connector. We used the placement in the middle for debugging purposes on our evaluation module.
