SN65MLVD204B: Any potential risk to use SN65MLVD204B this way?

Part Number: SN65MLVD204B

Hi Team,

My customer have question about using SN65MLVD204B, I want to double check with you if these any risk, pls let me know, thanks!

Normally for point to point application, if we use one SN65MLVD204B as dedicated TX and use another SN65MLVD204B as dedicated RX, like below(Sorry it's just a simplified picture, didn't show terminal resisitor):

But customer want to check with us if below connection has any risk to damage the SN65MLVD204B during system long time running compared with above normal connection. If yes, pls let me know why? And if this abnormal connection allowed for such kind of application?(Note: Don't care about the polarity problem, customer can handle it).

Best regards,
