Hi~

Customer looking for SERDES solution, which resolution is 480x240, more than18bit RGB(RGB666).

DS90UB903/904 is right solution?

Can I map video signal RGB666(18)+HS,VS, DE in series on (DIN0~20) <-> (ROUT0~20) at each 903/904 side?

Hi~ When just calculate PCLK, 480x240*60=6.9MHz, but DS90UB904 min PCLK support down to 10MHz....and then can't use DS90UB904? If that's correct, would you please suggest proper solution?

Choi,

The calculation of 6.9M PCLK is for payload data rate, actually you also needs line / frame porch, so the totally PCLK could be >10MHz.

btw, for the new design, I would promote DS90UB921+DS90UB926 for this case.

Hi~ Shi. Thanks for your advice and it's good news. I although promoted DS90UB925/926 first time, but cost is too expensive than competitor so couldn't convince customer. Customer also doesn't need I2S audio interface.
Is there any other special reason to suggest 921+926?
Any advice would be welcome.

UB921+UB926 is more popular solution and has longer life cycle than UB903/904. This is why I recommend it for new project design. thanks.
