Hello,

Our customer use the DP83816, for 100BASE-TX.

The customer make a original board.

They will check the board pass the Ethernet compliance test (IEEE 802.3u standard).

How should the customer configure the CSR register?

Do you have any application notes for configuration?

Hi Naoki-san,

My apologies for the delay. The information is very limited on this older device.

The DP83816 integrates a DsPHYTER II which is a DP83847 part number. The DP83847 has a test pattern control register [CD Test Register (CDCTRL)], defined in the DP83847 datasheet. Please see register address 0x1B in this datasheet: www.ti.com/.../snls157.pdf

The DP83847 registers should be available in DP83816. Comparing the two register sets, the CD Test Register (CDCTRL) should be mapped to DP83816 address ECh.

Please try to use the register definition from the DP83847 datasheet to output the required test modes.
