My customer has the following problem.
Register read of PHY Identifier Register #1 and #2 does not return the published values. This is not a timing issue on my side. I can produce logic analyzer data that shows the problem.
PHYIDR1 returns x4000 (data sheet says x2000) and PHYIDR2 returns x5201 (datasheet says xA5201). The problem lies with the OUI portion of these registers.
Any thoughts?
