Hello High Speed Interface Forum, please see question below:
The DS90UA901/902 SERDES combo with the DS90UB913/914, I see that the 913/914 pair costs less and it appears to be in higher supply:
Approx. Price (US$) |
5.56 | 1ku |
5.56 | 1ku |
4.27 | 1ku |
4.27 | 1ku |
4.64 | 1ku |
4.64 | 1ku |
Digi-Key Quantity |
740 |
1297 |
994 |
1454 |
5668 |
9708 |
Also, there is a third option: the DS90UB901/902 combo costs less than the 913/914 combo.
It appears to me that there is no difference between these SERDES pairs in the way they serialize and deserialize data. In other words, they do not care whether the data is video or audio or some other transport.
Is this correct? Could I theoretically use any of these SERDES pairs?
Is there any reason why I wouldn’t choose the more cost effective/available part?
Are there any other reasons I might choose one pair over another?
