SN65HVDA100-Q1: Question about UVsup

Part Number: SN65HVDA100-Q1

Hello Team

As we can see in datasheet page.5, Vsup is 5V ~ 27V. And UVsup is 4.35V ~ 4.65V.

Q1. When actual Vsup is 4.65V~5V, what's happen? Is it normal operation state which is guaranteed?

Q2. Why did you set the UVsup range as 4.35V ~ 4.65V? Is there any concept?

Thanks,

Yuta Kurimoto

  • Hi Yuta,

    thank you for reaching out.

Q1. When actual Vsup is 4.65V~5V, what's happen? Is it normal operation state which is guaranteed?
A1: The device will work but there is no guarantee that the device is operating with the electrical/switching characteristics shown in the datasheet. We definitely recommend to stay within the Vsup range.

Q2. Why did you set the UVsup range as 4.35V ~ 4.65V? Is there any concept?
A2: Below the UVsup range from 4.35 V to 4.65 V false bus messages can occur. The device will be shut down in order to avoid these false bus messages.

Let me know if this is answering your request. If there is anything else, please let me know.

    Kind regards
