TPD6E001: pcb library drawing

Part Number: TPD6E001

Hi

I want to draw the PCB library of TPD6E001SRE,

in datasheet, there is:

and size of pads isn't clear for me.

in 4x 0.30/0.20 for example,

what is 4?

what is 0.30?

what is 0.20?

Thanks a lot.

  • Hello,

the 4 means that there are 4 of these pads that have the same size, the 0.3 means that the maximum limit for the pad is 0.3mm and the 0.2 means that the minimum size of the pad is 0.2. If you are making a PCB footprint I would advise to use the maximum for sizes so that your footprint will fit for both the minimum and maximum.

    Regards,

    Cameron

  • Hi Sara,

Thanks for reaching out. So for the example you mentioned: 4X 0.3/0.2.

The 4 means that there are 4 pins with this same measurement. In this case, pins 2, 3, 7 and 8 all have that measurement

The 0.30 stands for 0.3mm max.

The 0.20 stands for 0.2mm min.

The 0.30/0.20 essentially tells you the tolerance and the 4x tells you that there are four pins with this measurement.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

  • Dear Matthew,

    Thanks for your response,

    OK I understand.

another question, what is this table means?

    Thanks.

  • Sara,
The circle with the cross hair is location tolerance. It is listing the position tolerance of each item against the true position. The C, A, B are the reference dimensions. The true position should be indicated by the cross hairs over the package (usually right through the center lines).

The M means Maximum material dimensions (A B C were the package outlines). The 10x means each pin has a 0.10 mm tolerance relative to the largest A B C dimension.
