HVDA553-Q1: Questions related to dark current in high and low temperature

Part Number: HVDA553-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HVDA551-Q1

Hi engineer

My customer has been asked about the high and low temperature dark current of HVDA553-Q1.

See Datasheet 27 page for Quiescent current.

However, customers have reported that Spec. between -40 and 85 degrees are required.

Do you have that spec.?

If you do not have a specification, Do you have any datahvda551-q1 dark current.pdf to prove that the contents of page 27 of the Datasheet are extended from -40 to 85 degrees?

  • Hi Taemin,

I am having trouble verifying whether the HVDA55x devices show the same leakage behavior described in the HVDA54x errata that is linked in the HVDA55x datasheet. To be able to know for sure, we will perform some measurements on the HVDA553 device. We will get back to you next week with our findings.

    Regards,
    Max
  • Hi Max

    Thank you for your help.
I look forward to a good response.

    Thanks,
    Taemin
  • Hi Taemin,

thank you for reaching out. I did a test setup to verify the quiescent current behavior of the HVDA551-Q1.

The bench is set up as described in the SLLZ073. A thermal stream applied a temperature sweep from -40 °C to 85 °C with 5 V and 3,3 V applied to the V_IO pin. Multiple devices where tested.

The devices did not show any similar behavior as shown in the the picture above. the quiescent current was low around 6 µA ... 10 µA all the time.

I hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else!

    Kind regards

    Dierk
