TPS24750-How difficult to make TPS24750 UL certified?

Per IEC 60950 2.5 Limited power sources c), a regulating network, or an integrated circuit (IC) current limiter, limits the output in compliance with Table 2B, both with and without a simulated single fault in the regulating network or the IC current limiter (open circuit or short circuit). A single fault between the input and output is not conducted if the IC current limiter meets a suitable test program as given in Annex CC. 

Will it possible to make TPS24750 meet Annex CC? Seems little chance.

    TPS24750 is UL certified recently. I have submitted request to update datasheet.

    Just to clarify further - TPS24750 is UL certified under UL2367 standard. As TPS24750 is 12A rated device, it is not eligible to get certified under IEC/UL60950.

    You feedback is really prompt and helpful. We are looking into using PTC or non re-settable fuse to resolve this issue. Per IEC60950, the efuse has to be lower than 5A.
    I have known this per reading IEC60950 Annex CC.

    Is a MUST need to have a TVS at the input side of TPS24750? This efuse is connected to a 12V DC/DC output side. There are some big bulk caps. Per your local FAE, there is concern on the voltage spike when short circuit happen. Could you explain more how much spike we will get? And is there any other way to eliminate the spike? Our board space is very limited. We have problem to place a TVS.

    And we have concern about the failure mode of TVS. It is short. It means TVS is a component that can cause the system down. We usually consider to use a fuse to prevent the failure of TVS. It requires more space which we don't have.
