DP83816: which is correct about receiver terminal center-tap?

Hello

My customer is using DP83816 for their industrial I/O equipment .

They found bit-error when they use long (100m ) CAT5 cable, but if they had followed DEMO-board (snlr010.pdf), problem fixed.

Question is in simply: ' Data sheet Fig6-2 is correct? or DEMO-board 'snlr010.pdf' is correct?, but please refer attached.

I had asked customer to have further information and waveform about ' Before ' and ' After' as attached ppt file.

Would you please advise soon?

Customer will release their design for pilot run soon, but they need your confirmation / approvement.

Hello Kanji,

Is it possible to get customer schematics? According to the demo board schematics, the center tap of the magnetics is pulled up to AVDD voltage.

Would you please take a look that receiver side is pull down (through cap) in DEMO-board. ( attached ppt )

Do you still need customer’s own schematic? ( Customer do not want to open in e2e if available )

Please mind that the drawing (Before/After) page 2 of this ( attached ) ppt file is which customer had sent to me.]

Customer and I have mis-understanding?

Please advise.

We were reviewing this internally. Please follow the schematics of the demo board. We will update the datasheet to match the demo board.
