Hi all

Would you mind if we ask SN65LVDS391?

How much is MAX Toggle Frequency?
As the background of this question, our customer would like to use SN65LVDS391 with 450Mbps.
The datasheet shows "Designed for Signaling Rates Up to 630 Mbps."
As the device characteristics, except for using cable and cable construction, we assume that it is possible to use for 630 Mbps system.

And then, Prorogation Delay H->L and L=H are MAX1.7ns.
So, we assume that 1.7ns pules are acceptable, otherwise it seems that MIN 294MHz is accetable.

If you have some advice, could you let us know?

    Hello Matsumoto-san,

    SN65LVDS391 is capable of signalling at 450 Mbps. The max signalling rate is 630 Mbps. I am not sure I follow your statement about "MIN 294MHz is acceptable"...

    Please notice, that the overall system (with cable, connectors, power supply noise, interference, etc.) may or may not be capable of handling 450 Mbps. Please refer to section 11.1 in the datasheet for details. And let us know if you have any further specific questions.
