TPD7S019: TPD7S019 bypass capacitor recommendation

Hi,

Customer raised the question as below.

In the TPD7S019 datasheet, there is a bypass capacitor 0.22uF is showed in function diagram. We do ESD test with 0.1uF bypass capacitor, the test result is pass.  Is there any concern for using 0.1uF capacitor on the BYP pin?

    Randy,

    The 0.22uF cap is how the device is characterized and guaranteed to meet the datasheet. It is possible that your system will function properly with a lower value capacitor, but we cannot recommend this as a solution because it has not been characterized and tested.
