SN75DP126: SN75DP126 reference schematic and PCBA files

Part Number: SN75DP126

Dear Sirs,

My customer will use the SN75DP126 on new product development.

Could you share SN75DP126 reference schematic, PCBA(Gerber) and EVM guide files to us?

BTW, Do you have any data about HDMI/DP bus layout length from DP126 to CONN side in layout guideline?

  • Dear Sirs,

    My customer also has 3 questions below,

    1. If EQ set to 15dB means total max trace length can support 22 inch, right ? <as fig 1.>

    Or how much each trace length before DP126 ? after DP126? <as fig 2.>

    <fig 1.>

    <fig 2.>

    2. Could I let the EQ/PRE set to floating or not before EA measurement ?

    3. If fine tune EQ/PRE through I2C, how to fine tune EQ/PRE by BIOS, any tool can provide ?

  • Dear Sirs,

    Any update?
  • Henry

    1. 22in/15dB is based on DP126 characterization board. Different board, with different dielectric and conductor loss, would have different insertion loss. For example, a FR4 with 5mil wide trace and dielectric constant of 4.3, would have ~0.7dB/in insertion loss at HBR2 5.4G data rate. But a board that uses Roger PCB material would have dielectric constant better than FR4, results in better insertion loss, and therefore longer trace. You also need to take a look at the CPU TX driving capability by referring to the CPU board design guideline.

    2. Would you please elaborate more on the EA measurement? Are they in GPIO or I2C mode?

    3. We only have I2C tool to program DP126, we don't have the BIOS tool.

    4. Attached is the DP126 EVM schematic.

  • Dear Sir,

    Thanks for your reply.
    They have another question which about HDMI/DP bus layout guideline from DP126 to connector side, Would you can provide it?
  • Henry

    Please follow the layout guideline in section 11 of the DP126 datasheet. Once the layout is completed, I can review it if it is needed.

    Thanks
