Hi Team,

I am looking for a device which can support J1708 protocol.

Is THVD15XX a right solution for J1708?

    Hi Ben,

    Yes, THVD1500 could be used in J1708 applications since J1708 references TIA/EIA-485 as its physical layer. Note that the THVD1500 driver enable control (DE) uses positive logic, though, so you should double-check the polarity of the J1708 signals at your MCU - in many cases an inverter is needed. If you need a transceiver with inverse logic on the DE control instead, you could look at DS36277 which was designed with J1708 specifically in mind.
