Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CD4053B
I am using 2 of MAX3223IPW Transceivers in my design and need to mux to another RS232 compatible device.
Do you have any recommendations on any 2:1 RS232 multiplexer?

Chethan,
If you want to mux RS232 signal, you need a mux that can support negative swing. It might be difficult finding such one in the market. You can take a look at CD4053B, whose main feature is digital to analog conversion though. If you use such a device, you need to provide positive and negative rails on board.
Another option is considering mux in digital domain. In that case, you have much more flexibility. You can refer to this post for similar discussion.

Hello Hao,
Thanks for your feedback.
I am considering multiplexing in the TTL domain by converting RS232 back to UART and then changing UART back to RS232.
Attaching the block diagram and Schematic. Please have a look and let me know if it works. Thanks.
Chethan,
Both the block diagram and the schematic look good to me. I think the design should work. Please let us know if you see any issues in application.

Hao
