TPD3S014: TPD3S014: Max supply Voltage

Part Number: TPD3S014

The TPD3S014 specs note a max input voltage (PIN 3) of 6V.

Question: is this limit only valid when chip is enabled?

or better: when chip not enabled, can chip handle higher voltages (say 8.4V)?

  • The chip cannot handle higher than 6V in any configuration. The ABS max specification is the highest voltage that the chip can tolerate in any condition without being damaged. Design specifications are not guaranteed in this condition.

For instance, on this chip. The operational input voltage is 4.5 to 5.5V where all specifications can be med.
