DS90CR286A: DS90CR286A(PCLK=20-66MHz) drive TFT Display(PCLK=9MHz)

Part Number: DS90CR286A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LV2412, DS92LV0411

Hi Team,

A customer use NXP imx6 to output LVDS signal to drive TFT Display which is 480*272 @60Hz RGB interface. And they want to use DS90CR286A to convert. But the PCLK of DS90CR286A is between 20MHz and 66MHz. And the PCLK of the display mentioned above is 9MHz (480*272*60*1.1).

Can they use DS90CR286A  to drive this display? Or do you have any more suitable chip to recommend?

Thanks for your help!

  • Hi Amelie,

9MHz is significantly out of specification of the DS90CR286A datasheet so it likely cannot be used to drive their display.

I believe the only parts that can support this resolution and LVDS -> RGB application are the generation II/III SerDes, which have to be used as a pair.

The DS92LV0411 serializer paired with the DS92LV2412 deserializer is an example.

    Regards,
    I.K.
