DS90UH949A-Q1EVM: Design Question; is there an FPD-LINK serialization board that is capable of serializing mutliple HDMI streams to one FPD-LINK III channel

Part Number: DS90UH949A-Q1EVM

Hi,

i have a design question regarding the FPD-LINK III serializer, we are planning to get the DS90UH949A-Q1EVM and the equivelent for the deserialization part (prefereably from FPD_LINK III to HDMI (we found development card with GPIO as output) board and not only the chip).

we are also looking at a development board that is capable of serializing multiple (4) HDMI streams to one FPD-LINK III channel (is that possible technically and if yes is it available?).

thank you for your support.

  • Hello omar,

We do not have a one chip solution that goes from FPD-Link to HDMI. You can have an external chip that translates LVDS to HDMI.

We do not have any devices that serialize multiple HDMI streams. you can MUX multiple HDMI sources into one 949 if you would like.

  • Hi Michael,

thank you for the reply and sorry for the late response in my end,

does TI have any development board that is directly compatible to convert from LVDS to HDMI on the deserializer side?

does TI has a board that muxes multiples HDMI streams to one output that can serve as an entry signal to the serializer?

we are looking for a solution that can be easily used in a short time frame for testing purposes.

    thank you and best regards,

    omar

  • Hello Omar,

Texas Instruments does not have a development board that converts LVDS to HDMI.

You can use multiple HD3SS215s to mux HDMI into a 949.
