Hi Team, 

 Your BQ chip can handle all of the power stuff going on with the USB-C provided it lies between the stated 3.3-20V input range but it can’t handle any of the CC pin PD negotiation necessary for soliciting voltages higher than 5V from the DFP is that correct? DO you have a chip which is capable of handling this negotiating logic for the sink side?

    Hi Ajayt,

    The TPS25740B is a sourcing controller and larger than 5V requires a USB PD. If looking for a sinking device and wanting to be compliant to the USB PD 3.0 spec, I recommend looking at the TPS65987D. Its EVM can be configured to sink up to 5A.
