DS125DF111EVM: Device does not lock on channel B

Part Number: DS125DF111EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY, DS125DF111, , SIGCONARCHITECT

Dear TI-experts, dear forum participants.

I try to run a DS125DF111 EVM Board as a two path signal regenerator. I configured it by SigCon and USB2ANY (high level page and the an registers directly) for a 6 Gbit/s signal on both channels (registers x60/x61 as with xBC00 == 12 Gbit/s, later fixed rate and subrate /2, finally configured x62/x63 the same way, x64=xFF).

Channel A always works completely: Locks, adapts, the signal becomes well-regenerated. Channel B does not work at all (just says "Signal detect"), eventhough it is configured the same way. When I exchange the sources (including cables) the way that channel B is feed by the former channel A source and vice versa, it still runs up channel A, but does not lock on B. I compared all registers from both channels: They are exactly the same but the status registers. I even see no signal when I choose the output mux to bypass the CDR. The device itself should not be broken, since I have a second EVM board, behaving the same way.

Is there something more I have to deal with before channel B can run up?

Thank you for the answer and best regards,

Matthias
