Hi Team

I have a question on TSB41AB2 / TSB43AB22.

Is the circuit below suitable as an ESD protection circuit for the TPA/TPB pin of TSB41AB2?

If you make a mistake, please contact the simplified circuit.

There are also questions in the 1394 sequence.

Is there a timing chart of the 1394 IF signal (TPA/TPB/TPBIAS) from when the bus reset enters until the speed signal is determined?

Hello Ishiwata-san,

In principle, the ESD protection circuit is suitable. You can also refer to the ESD Protection Guide: www.ti.com/.../sszb130c.pdf for ESD protection solutions for 1394.

Unfortunately, there isn't timing diagram or chart for bus reset. However, this app note shows captured bus reset sequence and may be helpful in this regards: www.ti.com/.../slla056 .
