According to the datasheet the Ic is DSI to LVDS converter and in block diagram in page 13 data flow is from DSI to LVDS! As far as I know and of course display does not send any data, just receive it! At least ours doesn't! So now this question arises:
Is it possible to use this chip to connect the mipi/csi camera to the fpga lvds pairs? (as a csi to lvds)

Hi John,

No, this device will not work as a CSI to LVDS bridge. It is only DSI to LVDS.

If you want to interface with CSI then you will need to use an FPD-Link III chipset which includes the DS90UB953-Q1. Note that it is only CSI-2 compatible, not CSI-1.

Thanks to your advice but DS90UB953-Q1 supports up to 4mp and 30 fps.
Unfortunately there isn't any device on the market to use of high resolution mipi/csi camera with fpga's!
