If the customer needs the slope control on the Rs pin, the TCAN1042 does not have this or the SPLIT pin. However, slope control and the SPLIT pin are typically used to help with EM emissions, and the TCAN1042 was designed with emissions as a focus. The TCAN1042 can pass EM emissions without the need of the voltage stabilization from the SPLIT pin or the slope control of the Rs pin.

The TCAN1042 can indeed replace the MAX13052.
